ILINU is a program of virtual co-creation workshops between Quebec and Mexico in digital literature, born out of a collaboration between the Montreal artist collective TOPO, the artistic collective andamio.in and at Centro de Cultura Digital (CCD) in Mexico City. This learning and diffusion program in digital arts and literature aimed to develop the practice of writers, artists, and coders through a learning program in digital creation.
A dozen virtual co-creation workshops with a cohort of 20 Quebec and Mexican artists took place in the spring of 2022. The artists then continued their collaboration through a series of meetings and exchanges on the Discord platform to create an exhibition of works born out of ILINU. The exhibition takes place in a virtual space on the Mozilla Hubs platform. Working alone, in pairs, or in trios, 11 artists finalized seven works, each set up in its own 3D space, which has been online since March 2023.
