Author Paule Mackrous documents and revisits the media installations of the 13 artists and duos who have occupied the space at the Vitrine from spring 2015 to spring 2017. Grouped into four sections—Reflections, Arenas, Presences, and Passages—the texts highlight the uniqueness of the exhibition space and the challenge each artist faced in occupying it. La Vitrine is a 10 m² / 100 ft² glass-enclosed space where the artwork is inside and the audience is outside. Each artist explored the possibilities and limitations of the small gallery in their own way, using various interactive devices, but also as a performance space.
