The work was exhibited simultaneously on the TOPO and Mutek websites for a month, as part of the festival's virtual section. <a href=\"https:\/\/virtual.mutek.org\/fr\/mutek\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mutek<\/a> of 2022. TOPO has decided to continue exhibiting\u00a0<em>Selfgen<\/em> by a window projection in November and December 2022. On Thursday 17 November at 5pm, at the launch of the video installation, the web section of <em>Selfgen<\/em> was available on a large touch screen.<\/p><p><em>Selfgen<\/em>\u00a0evokes the idea of queer identity and self-representation through advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning processes. Working with a database of over 500\u00a0<em>selfies<\/em>\u00a0Marion Schneider teaches an artificial intelligence algorithm (GAN) to create new images of herself from the personal data accumulated on her mobile phone. By manipulating the learning parameters and the images provided, an infinite number of self-portraits are generated on demand, whose abstraction evokes fluidity, impermanence and ambiguity.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a36e569 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con Sa pratique interdisciplinaire s\u2019int\u00e9resse au sentimentalisme et \u00e0 son actualisation par le biais des technologies.\r\n\r\nAncr\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;id\u00e9ologie hacktiviste, son travail est souvent autonome, perm\u00e9able et fonctionne en boucle, int\u00e9grant le partage et la r\u00e9utilisation des donn\u00e9es. Iel s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse \u00e0 des th\u00e8mes li\u00e9s \u00e0 la nature et la virtualit\u00e9, en passant par le genre, l&rsquo;intimit\u00e9, la distance et la m\u00e9moire ; son travail explore les fa\u00e7ons o\u00f9 chacun de ces sujets se croisent.\r\n\r\nSchneider a partag\u00e9 son travail lors de plusieurs expositions \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al et \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec, notamment \u00e0 ICRA-X, \u00e0 la Place des Arts, \u00e0 Art M\u00fbr, et \u00e0 la Galerie de l\u2019UQAM.
