Cabinets de curiosit\u00e9s is a creative project incorporating a visual, literary, media and spatial dimension, culminating in the showcasing of the creations of Centre Wellington customers and the creation of this website.<\/p>

We found these windows on rue Wellington by talking to shopkeepers who gave us space to install a series of works grouped around the following themes: the sea, nature, urbanity, love, humanity and poetry. By showcasing, we also mean the creation of this website, which will give permanence to the work carried out by users of the Wellington Centre with artist mediators Martine Koutnouyan and Gabrielle Lajoie-Bergeron in February, March and April 2015. Jos\u00e9 Cortes Castillo has also put the users in front of the camera, gathering many testimonies.<\/p>

Two poets added a literary touch, Emmanuel Simard and Caroline Louisseize, culminating in a poetry walk, in collaboration with Ghislaine Provost and Nathalie S\u00e9guin. On 4 June 2015, we inaugurated the exhibition of cabinets of curiosities scattered between 3966 and 5019 rue Wellington. At the end of this walk organised during the pavement sale, the group met up at Caf\u00e9 Baobab for the presentation of the website created by Agence TOPO under the direction of Joseph Lef\u00e8vre, from the Jocool studio, with the imagination and dexterity of Paul Gascou-Vaillancourt and Jos\u00e9 Cortes Castillo, from Agence TOPO.<\/p>

A creative project with artists from TOPO, Centre Wellington and STUDIO jocool.

A cabinet of curiosities is a place where objects chosen and arranged with care are brought together to illustrate a theme, a story...<\/p>

For its second edition, the artists in the practices have come together under the theme of La f\u00eate to offer a visual and media experience combining drawing, sculpture, slam, street art, video and animation. Driven by the idea of a \u2018bus ride\u2019, we invite you to come and experience, in person and on the web, this social phenomenon in which we are a multitude of individualities joined together, often by default. Come and discover how these different intimate universes coexist in a collective multidisciplinary installation.<\/p>

Art as a pretext for exchange<\/h4>

For the second edition of the Cabinets of Curiosities project, creativity was at its peak! Yves' spirited pencil strokes rubbed shoulders with the rhythmic words of guest artist Marie Dauvern\u00e9. Marie shared her passion for slam poetry in a series of workshops. Philippe's intimate sculptures gave us access to fantastic worlds that echoed some of the intimate stories told by film-maker Pierre Goupil, who was invited to present his film Il ventait derri\u00e8re ma porte. Sylvie and Manon's diverse creations were interwoven with Nathalie's touching animations and texts. Roger, Gustavo and Nicole put paper mache and flour in the air. Alex's quick wit helped us rediscover the world of video games, and Johanne's creativity transported us into a whole new world of sound. With the arrival of spring, the creative space welcomed the artist Fl\u00e9o for a few street art workshops, where airbrushes and aerosol cans brought colour to the space.<\/p>

This second year has certainly seen an explosion of talent and diversity, but above all it's been about the pleasure of being together. By using creation as a pretext for encounters and discussions, we've had the chance to open up to ourselves and to others. It's a rich, human experience that continues on the web.<\/p>
