Du\u00a06 d\u00e9cembre 2019 au 26 janvier 2020<\/strong>, TOPO participera \u00e0 l\u2019exposition collective\u00a0L\u2019art web : h\u00e9ritage et perspectives \u2013 une utopie humaine dans la cr\u00e9ation des machines<\/a>, au Centre d\u2019exposition VOART de Val-d\u2019Or.<\/p>

Ayant particip\u00e9 aux balbutiements de l\u2019art interactif dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, TOPO pr\u00e9sente pour cette exposition deux c\u00e9d\u00e9roms ainsi qu\u2019un mus\u00e9e virtuel pr\u00e9-internet cr\u00e9\u00e9 par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de conservation du pr\u00e9sent,\u00a0le Mus\u00e9e Standard<\/em><\/strong>, dans une version dat\u00e9e de 1991. Diffus\u00e9 gratuitement en 1994 par le magazine Vice Versa, le c\u00e9d\u00e9rom\u00a0PALOMAR \u2013 Le regardeur actif<\/strong><\/em>, de Joseph Lef\u00e8vre, Eric Mattson et Alain Mongeau, propose une r\u00e9flexion sur les nouveaux m\u00e9dias \u00e0 travers une diversit\u00e9 de tableaux interactifs. Enfin, TOPO ressort les archives du projet\u00a0LIQUIDATION \u2013 un photoroman plurim\u00e9dia<\/strong><\/em>, de Michel Lefebvre et Eva Quintas, et pr\u00e9sente la version en c\u00e9d\u00e9rom du photoroman, sous forme de fiction al\u00e9atoire.<\/p>

Les autres artistes de cette exposition collective sous le commissariat de Carmelle Adam et Jean-Ambroise Vesac comprennent Dave Gagnon, Valentin Foch, Marc Boutin.<\/p>

Le vernissage aura lieu le vendredi 6 d\u00e9cembre 2019, de 18 h 30 \u00e0 20 h.<\/p>

Une conf\u00e9rence \u00e0 17 h pr\u00e9c\u00e9dera le vernissage. Anim\u00e9e par Michel Lefebvre avec Joseph Lef\u00e8vre (par visioconf\u00e9rence), la conf\u00e9rence pr\u00e9voit un survol de la cr\u00e9ation interactive dans les ann\u00e9es 1980 et 1990 autour de trois projets de la pr\u00e9sente exposition \u2013\u00a0Le Mus\u00e9e Standard, LIQUIDATION \u2013 un photoroman al\u00e9atoire<\/em>, and\u00a0PALOMAR, le regardeur actif<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 et divers autres projets d\u2019art web produits par TOPO depuis vingt ans.<\/p>

Avant l\u2019internet rapide et grand public d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui, des artistes ont explor\u00e9 le champ de la cr\u00e9ation multim\u00e9dia en cr\u00e9ant des \u0153uvres sur c\u00e9d\u00e9rom utilisant une technologie maintenant incompatible avec les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019op\u00e9ration courants. TOPO propose en consultation des cr\u00e9ations qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises qui permettent un regard r\u00e9trospectif sur cette p\u00e9riode embryonnaire de la cr\u00e9ation num\u00e9rique.<\/p>

LIQUIDATION est une fiction d\u00e9lirante, moqueuse aux accents critiques. L\u2019histoire de ce photoroman interactif d\u00e9bute par \u00ab le vol de la formule scientifique pour liquider la dette mondiale \u00bb ! Le spectateur suit l\u2019enqu\u00eate abracadabrante qui rebondit de surprise en surprise \u00e0 travers une collection impressionnante de photos, plus de 1800, et de plusieurs heures de dialogues. Le projet a \u00e9volu\u00e9 sur plusieurs plateformes, web et multim\u00e9dia. Les intentions des artistes vont au-del\u00e0 du sc\u00e9nario, des textes, des photos et de la musique. Ils explorent les nouvelles relations possibles entre les contenus et leur m\u00e9diatisation. Ils utilisent la programmation afin de d\u00e9multiplier les choix de lecture. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des fonctions al\u00e9atoires, l\u2019\u0153uvre se renouvelle \u00e0 chaque visionnement.<\/p>

PALOMAR aborde le regard simultan\u00e9ment \u00e0 travers les outils techniques de la communication et \u00ab une recherche [artistique] perp\u00e9tuelle sur le regard \u00bb. Cette \u0153uvre regroupe le travail d\u2019une douzaine d\u2019artistes multim\u00e9dias : Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rick Belzile, Jean Fran\u00e7ois Cantin, Eric Desprez, Martine Boyon, Le Pont Bridge, Nous (Hugo Brochu, \u00c9ric Martel, Natalie Lamoureux), \u00c9ric Raymond, Raymond St-Jean, Henry See, Duncan Swain. Les commissaires ont con\u00e7u ce projet comme une s\u00e9rie \u00ab d\u2019environnements repr\u00e9sentant vaguement les sensibilit\u00e9s et les mani\u00e8res de ressentir et de voir qui guident le travail de l\u2019artiste \u00bb. Le regard fabrique. L\u2019\u0153uvre existe au croisement des regards des artistes, des critiques et du public qui sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 remettre en cause leur jugement face \u00e0 l\u2019art contemporain par un jeu r\u00e9flexif. Le spectateur devient interacteur et se voit conf\u00e9rer le devoir d\u2019interroger le r\u00f4le de ses perceptions et de ses actions. C\u2019est une recherche pour mettre en \u00e9vidence \u00ab la sensation visuelle \u00bb, pour r\u00e9veiller nos perceptions actives. Dans le CD-ROM et l\u2019exposition, la simulation abolit le simulacre (Debray).<\/p>

Le Mus\u00e9e Standard est un projet pionnier d\u2019art t\u00e9l\u00e9matique proposant une dizaine \u00ab salles \u00bb th\u00e9matiques dans un des premiers mus\u00e9es virtuels au monde. Parmi les projets pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s, la \u00ab Calembredaine \u00bb se d\u00e9marque par son utilisation d\u2019un langage de pro\u00adgrammation permettant de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer de fa\u00e7on al\u00e9atoire et perp\u00e9tuelle des extraits po\u00e9tiques caract\u00e9ris\u00e9s par leurs lexiques individuels. L\u2019humour pr\u00e9domine dans cette \u0153uvre forte d\u2019une r\u00e9flexion critique sur l\u2019art institutionnel et la marchandisation de l\u2019information.
